Congratulations to Dr. Paul Schroeder for his selection as the 2025 AIPEA Fellow!

The Association Internationale pour l’Etude des ArgilesInternational (Association for the Study of Clay) has selected Dr. Paul Schroeder as their 2025 AIPEA Fellow. 

Dr. Schroeder

A professor of Geology in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, is an expert in Clay Mineralogy and a Registered Professional Geologist. Research by his group focuses on understanding clay minerals and the detailed crystal-chemical characterization of their structure, particularly as they are found associated in the critical zone, which includes near-surface weathering, diagenetic, and hydrothermal geologic environments. 

AIPEA FELLOWS

AIPEA Fellowship was established (EuroClay2013) to recognize and reward clay scientists with a life-long activity in promoting clay science and in supporting the clay science community through AIPEA or other bodies.
