Image: The Association Internationale pour l’Etude des ArgilesInternational (Association for the Study of Clay) has selected Dr. Paul Schroeder as their 2025 AIPEA Fellow. Dr. Schroeder A professor of Geology in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, is an expert in Clay Mineralogy and a Registered Professional Geologist. Research by his group focuses on understanding clay minerals and the detailed crystal-chemical characterization of their structure, particularly as they are found associated in the critical zone, which includes near-surface weathering, diagenetic, and hydrothermal geologic environments. AIPEA FELLOWS AIPEA Fellowship was established (EuroClay2013) to recognize and reward clay scientists with a life-long activity in promoting clay science and in supporting the clay science community through AIPEA or other bodies.
