UGA Department of Geology Posts Fall 2014 Colloquium Schedule

The UGA Department of Geology is pleased to present the fall 2014 semester colloquim schedule. Topics range from mineral and energy resources to geochemistry on Earth and Mars. All UGA faculty, students, and the public are welcome to attend. Coffee and cookies will be served.


Steve Holland Elected President of the Paleontological Society.

Geology faculty member Steve Holland was elected president-elect of the Paleontological Society. He will serve two years as president-elect, two years as president, and two years as past president.


Sally Walker Elected American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow

Geology faculty member Sally Walker has been elected as a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
