Computer Algebra Systems in the Earth and Planetary Sciences

A hands-on course on the use of computer algebra systems to solve analytical and numerical problems from many areas within the Earth and Planetary Sciences.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
An independent and original research project focused on implementing analytical and/or numerical solutions to a specific problem, ideally within the student's field of research. The project will under no circumstances be a literature review-it must be a contribution originating from the student, with help and guidance from the instructor.
