I attended high school at Banks County where I earned my diploma as an honor graduate in 2003. From 2004 to 2009 I worked my way up to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the USAF as an Air Traffic Control Supervisor and Military Techincial Training Instructor as an enlisted serviceman. I spent one extended short tour at Osan Air Force Base, South Korea, as an ATC operator, then moved on to an instructor role at the ATC training center at Keesler Air Force base in 2008. In 2009, I recieved an honorable discharge from the Air Force and full medical retirement from the Department of Defense. Following that, I worked in HR management for Levi Strauss Retail Operations and as a technical data analyzer at Windstream Communications in Northeast Georgia from 2009 to 2013 while pursuing undergraduate coursework part time. In 2013 I moved to Charleston, SC and began attending the College of Charleston as a Geology Major. I taught surf and paddleboard lessons while in school and worked on research projects in GIS and in geophysics for the South Carolina Department of Emergency Management and the Charleston Resilliancy Network with Dr. Norman Levine and Dr. Steve Juame. In 2017, I graduated with my BS in Geology as the Estwing Award Winner in Field Geology, and was inducted into Sigma Gamma Epsilon- the National Geology Honors Society. I began my career as a Masters Student and Chevron Assistantship Researcher with Dr. Robert Hawman on the SESAME project in Geophysics at the University of Georgia in the fall of 2017.
